Homebirth package. $5,500

This includes all prenatal visit, birth, postpartum visits and a traditional Mexican closure bath and massage. It also includes paperwork for birth certificate and newborn metabolic screening. I offer pregnancy tea as well as provide herbs used for postpartum healing. It includes the use of a birth tub and all supplies used by the midwife.

Prenatal schedule: Meet and greet, then one visit every 4 weeks up until week 33, then every two week up until 37 weeks and then once a week until due date. After due date about every 3 days.

Birth: I am present at the birth as well as immediate postpartum (up to 4 hrs). I perform a newborn exam and make sure the mother is well taken care of.

Postpartum schedule: Home visit at 24 hrs, 72 hrs, 1 week and then once more according to needs with a final visit around 3 week and a follow up at 6 weeks.

Postpartum closure and herbal bath: This is a Mexican tradition, done at around 3 weeks. It includes an herbal bath or rinse followed by a massage and squeezing the body with a large scarf (reboso).

What does the prenatal appointment consist of?

Each appointment of mine last at least an hour. The mother is usually laying on the massage table most of the time while I massage her body and then feel for the babies position and take mama's vital signs and babies heart tones. I test and examen the urine. During this time we chat and go over relevant lab work, paperwork and discuss any questions or concerns her or her partner have. I want each mother and couple to be as informed and empowered as possible in their pregnancy and birth.
